A Prayer for You Today

Father in Jesus Name, I come to you praying for your sons and daughters. Father I ask that you put your loving arms around them, and cover and protect them with the blood of Jesus.

The blood of Jesus cleanse your conscious, no weapon formed against you shall prosper, you are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, and AGAIN no weapon formed against you shall prosper and any tongue that rises up against you shall be condemned. Your steps are ordered by the Lord, for the word says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and he delights in his way. Just as God gave Solomon exceptional wisdom and understanding, I believe in Jesus Name, God will give you wisdom and understanding for every situation. Father God, I ask you to give each person wisdom, direction, and peace of mind. I pray God gives you clarity and peace that surpasses all understanding. In those areas where you struggle, especially in your mind, I pray God gives you peace, peace, peace, peace, in the Name of Jesus. In those areas where there is lack, I pray God gives you abundance, and the mind and the ability to manage what he has blessed you with, in Jesus name.

I pray in the name of Jesus that the blood of Jesus covers your children and they are protected, I decree and declare that your children will walk uprightly before the lord and they are delivered by the power of the word, for the word says the seed of the righteous shall be delivered. I decree and declare that your children are disciples taught of the Lord and obedient to God’s will and word. I speak peace into their life, peace into your life, peace into your family’s life, and I speak peace into your mind. You have a sound mind with discipline and self-control. The word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path, and every place that the sole of your feet shall go, shall be yours and God shall establish.

God says, put your trust and confidence him, allow him to guide you and supply every need, for he is the Lord and he changes not. For with man it is impossible, but with God nothing shall be impossible to him who believe. Have faith as a mustard seed, try God and see his manifestation in your life. May the angels of the Lord encamp round about you, allow the spirit of the Lord to rise in you. No longer will you put your trust in man, it’s time to put all your trust in God. For God is alpha and omega, he is the beginning and the end, he knew you before he formed you in your mother’s womb, you are fashioned and shaped for his purpose. Everything you desire, God will give it to you, the word says, God will give you the desires of your heart. Every secret, all the shame, all the doubt, the discouragement, the pain, the lies, EVERYTHING, God knows, release, release, release, says the Lord. Pour out your heart to him and allow him to cleanse you, to remove everything that is not like him, to purge you of everything that is hindering your progress, release, release, release. Trust and obey says the Lord, know that he is God and beside him there is no other.

Life Change

Before deciding to start my business, I had to change my mindset and see myself as a business owner. It wasn’t easy! I thought I would retire from education and follow in the footsteps of my aunts or retire from a job like many of my family members did; but that's not how it happened for me. There has always been something inside of me that wanted more, and I couldn’t settle with just working for someone else for the rest of my life, so I started preparing to become a business owner three years ago and became a business owner, quit my full-time, good paying job with benefits, last year. WOW! 

In the midst of preparation, I experienced some obstacles; for example, I was hospitalized for five days and the doctors couldn’t find out what was wrong, I lost family members and friends to cancer and other illnesses, and experienced a failed relationship. However, in the midst of obstacles, I decided to not allow my circumstances to keep me from my destiny and purpose, and I made a choice to start preparing for where I wanted to be in life. 

Here are six life changing things that has helped me, and I continue to do them consistently. 

1.      Replace self-defeating and doubting self-talk to positive and encouraging self-talk – Say to yourself, "I have what it takes to be successful", and take small steps toward what you would like to accomplish.

2.      Read books written by successful people, and people who are doing what you want to do. You have to consistently be a student of what you are wanting to do or be – teacher, doctor, lawyer, business owner, etc. and do this consistently, even after you reach your level of success.

3.      Visualize and see yourself where you want to be, begin to see the end results beforehand. Create a "My Journey to Success" vision board and include pictures and words that describe where you want to be in life.

4.      Change your perspective about yourself by dressing for success. Dress for where you’re going and not where you are.

5.      Don’t allow circumstances, obstacles or challenges to keep you from accomplishing what you are designed to accomplished.

6.      Believe in yourself, your abilities, skills, and talents. You have to first believe in you, before others will believe in you.

What you think about yourself influences what you do and determines your outcome/results.
